I believe they are both Privately Owned Organisations. Both abolished the Gold Standard within 2 years of each other in response to the Great Depression 1931 and 1933 respectively.
These are 90 year cycles! Create a currency and system that is deliberately flawed, drain the people then rinse and repeat!
